New Project

Aside from attempting to clear up misunderstandings and erroneous information with proper education, I also enjoy doing crafting projects. As you can see, I have placed a few of my projects here.

Here is a listing of the projects I have undertaken since beginning my blog:
A Failed Project
BoS Crafting
Portable BoS
Success with a D'oh

My projects are always on the go. I'm always trying to create something new. I recently made my own set of prayer beads in the style of a Catholic Rosary. Coming from an education system that encompassed basically nothing but Catholicism for my whole life, naturally I have developed an affinity for many of the symbols associated with this religion, and seem to have brought it with me into my Pagan practices.
My Pagan Rosary
I made this rosary entirely by hand (including threading each bead with wire to connect each to each other). I stumbled upon a site that had prayers in a style that suits a rosary of this fashion.

This is currently the rosary I use to recite my prayers.

I now am making a set in a similar fashion, with a half-decades (5) instead of full (10).

My tools: Pliers (two others I failed to photograph, rounded nosed pliers and a pair of cutters), 5 large black beads, 25 smaller black beads (pre wire-threaded) and a crescent moon charm.

I made 5 groups of five small beads

I hooked them to each other by each of the threaded wires, and separated them using handmade wire connecting pieces.

The completed "Rosary"

I love beading, and making rosaries. I'm hoping in the future [possibly] starting some type of business where I make and sell my rosaries, prayer beads and such (and even entertain custom orders), but that won't be for a little while.

  2. Thank you. I love crafting, and being a stay-at-home-mom gives me the time to do these.

They're surprisingly easy to make, you just have to determine the style and/or pattern you wish them to be in, and what type of prayers you wish to use :)
