Apparently (this is news to me) throughout the past 2000 years, the "bulk" of spells created are Christian. Really? I directly quote (because 1) i love direct quoting 2) if I don't I get in trouble for misinterpretation): "in fact, the bulk of spells, rites and incantations from the past 2000 years have been, and still ARE Christian" That's interesting (and I realize this says "bulk" but to me bulk still means most if not the majority) considering not a single spell I've used or encountered really had anything to do with Christianity. OH, and another interesting thing...apparently Christianity DOESN"T look down on occult practices. I guess all the quoting I've done over the past 2 years since beginning this blog has been misquotes (even though they were ripped directly out of the very pages of the Bible).
How can one justify this quote? People have been KILLED for merely being accused of Witchcraft and spell casting for centuries (that's not talking about those who actually DID spell work and "witchcraft" which, long ago was still as harmless as it is today, but highly feared anyways)...BY those claiming to be Christian and representing the Church!
Rites and incantations are not necessarily copyrighted to Christianity either...rites and incantations have been around FAR longer than Christianity has been a thought. So, to state that the "bulk" of spells over the last 2000 years have been and still "ARE" Christian is total and utter (and I'll use the author of the quote above's favorite word...) NONSENSE!!
Ask any Witch...any REAL Witch practicing for decades (I'd say centuries but after roughly 100 years, people tend to die), how many spells they create or use are Christian in origins...I'm almost positive, they wont' agree with that.

***UPDATE***
I think people do this just to piss me off...to continuously perpetuate something as fact....like our user's comment: "many spells are Christian" written within the last few hours
