So...I didn't get to stay as long as I wanted today (though I was able to take some pictures anyways).
One lonely tulip
This here picture was on the way to the trail. There's a swampy bit of land between my home and the trail, and on the side of the road, I spotted one....lonely...tulip, in amongst a bunch of growing sprouts and waking trees. It seems odd for this one tulip to be open and so colorful at this time of year...seems a bit early, no?
The Creek (bordering on River)
Yesterday when I went for my first walk, I found this river, but it wasn't as "swollen" as it appears today. We had a bit of rain yesterday, must have been enough to raise the water level (I also noticed a small ravine on my way to the trail also had water today, where it was dry yesterday).
The River and the Pathway
A shot of the river and the trail on which I walked. I would have gone further except my little dog was tired and didn't want to go on any further.
The Trail
This is the trail. It's REALLY long, but really beautiful. I suppose I could walk down it in the summer, but I suspect a LOT of mosquito's lol.
Depth of Creek
Another reason why I figure this "Creek" is bordering on river. It's depth. It's actually quite deep in some places...while some places it's maybe about 3-6 inches deep, in other places, I'd say it's about 2-3 feet.
Thinking on my experience with this trail, I can see a relation between it, the title of my blog and my path itself. This trail is a metaphor. I'm anxious about going on this trail because I have never been on it, and I am unfamiliar with the area. Who knows what's around the bend. There could be danger, there could be nothing to worry about. Each twist and turn leads to something new and exciting, but could also be harmful, perhaps painful. It currently truly is the Unbeaten Path, on which I am walking, and each few steps leads me to something new. Baby steps lead you along, and patience.

**UPDATE**
I started my walk down this path on the other end today, only to find out that this trail isn't as long as I thought it was lol. Within a matter of minutes I found where I had stopped. AND...discovered that this trail has numerous houses past the dense trees, that I think I can start to relax more by going down it.
I have taken more pictures too. I did notice though that this park has a LOT of dead trees fallen over the river. Some naturally fallen, some cut. I can understand some of the one's cut, as I went past them...from where they would have been, it made the pathway a little difficult to tread...that and numerous branches would have hung down and people would have hit their heads on them. However, with the numerous trees down, you wouldn't have noticed (and the town really should remove these dead trees), the trail is STILL quite dense in trees and plants, so I'm not too concerned.
Where I ended my walk a couple of days ago
I was afraid to go on any further because of the dense nature of the trees that were behind this cedar...this whole area was unfamiliar to me, so I stopped here. I came out here today only to realize this is where I stopped lol.
Beautiful pathway
I think this path is beautiful, with the way the trees overhang over the path, kind of like a natural archway
More naturally fallen trees
I thought this was beautiful, especially with the moss growing over top of it
Is Bilbo Baggins Home???
I don't know WHAT this is...but I thought it looked kind of like a hobbit home, so I took a pic, lol. It kind of looks like it was made, so I'm not sure of it's purpose (but I made sure not to get too close, as there could be an animal living in it).
Butterfly
There are perhaps thousands of these butterflies flying all over the place (not only on this trail, but also flying around my home). I've never seen butterflies like these before.

**UPDATE** (again lol)
Ok...I've FINALLY taken a trip up to my "desecrated" park, to discover that it really isn't as bad as I thought it was.
If you see on a previous video I posted a while ago, you will see numerous shrubs and bushes lining the water front. All before the first bridge have been removed, along with numerous tall trees; however, past the dilapidated bridges, all is well, and all remains secluded (with a little grooming having been done).
