I've longed for the day where I could wear my black, fringed leather jacket again (it's kind of a biker jacket, but I have no bike, lol). I had forgotten about it until this moment when I was skimming through forum threads, and someone was discussing wearing black, and a commenter mentioned their black leather jacket. I jumped out of bed (because I'm laying in my bed watching tv with my children until their school bus comes), ran downstairs, found my jacket and put it on. About 2 months ago, I couldn't even do it up. And the sleeves were really tight on my arms. Today, I can do it up. It feels the same way it did when I first bought it. (which was like 15-17 years ago, and I got it second hand for $12, whereas if I were to get it today, at the same place, they'd ask $50). This is such a great feeling. I literally jumped and giggled when I put it on and zipped it up.
Now, I can't wait for winter!! (though I know my neighbor will make fun of me because of it, but I don't care. It's my favorite jacket. Now, if I could just make a shirt with leather fringes on it...)
I'm all about the strings (or fringes) on things. I also want a pair of moccasin boots with the leather fringe strings hanging off the top.
Otherwise, my feelings really haven't changed. My scale continues to fight with me. I've been working my butt off, STILL doing what I should be doing, and I'm still only 5 lbs lighter than when I started. Cripes, I could have lost 5 lbs on my own without a "diet plan"...but then I suppose I wouldn't have lost the inches I did.
It's just frustrating that I've only lost 5 lbs and it's almost been 2 weeks.
