Inquiry: What is a "Mashup"??

I love doing my "Ma'iingan's Mashup's". but what are they really?

Well, in short, a "Ma'iingan's Mashup" is a post with three or more topics in one.

There are times when I have thoughts that I want to write about, but really, they only take up a few lines. When this happens, a Mashup is born. I will wait until I have at least 3 smaller blogs before I post a Mashup, so that means a Mashup might sit in my draft file for a few days to a few weeks before being posted. And to me, that's fine. Usually I will go back now and then and add a few lines to what I've written or add another topic to the Mashup.

In the most recent case, I wanted to write about "Touchy Touchy" for a while, but really only had a couple lines to a short blurb about it. So I waited until I had a few more topics before posting. It's happened with all of my Mashup's.

How did I come up with "Mashup"?
I came up with the idea of "Mashup" from listening to my Sirius radio. There's a broadcast in the morning on one of the stations called "The Morning Mashup" (but I haven't listened to it in a long time). Before I moved I used to listen to it almost every day, and it ran until about noon. It gave me the inspiration to call a post I once called "52 Topics About Nothing" a "Mashup". Since "52 Topics..." was much too long, and I liked the catchy-ness of how they announced "The Morning Mashup", I began "Ma'iingan's Mashup".

I love inspiration. It's like the lightbulb going off above my head when they happen.

If you have a blog, and have a topic that doesn't take up a lot of space...don't fret about wasting a post over three lines, create a version of "Maship" yourself, and give it a catchy title. :)
