Pagan Holidays: Should We Get Them Off??

I've heard the debate that because on holidays like Christmas and Easter, people get time off, then Pagans should get times like Beltain, Lammas (Lughnasadh for the picky ones) or Samhain off too. Where do we draw the line??

Ok, I know working sucks and if we could we'd all sit at home stuffing our faces with Cheetos and watching daytime soaps, but unfortunatly things don't work like that, and we need to work in order to pay our bills

Is it really realistic for us to assume that because we don't practice conventional religions, that we are entitled to our holidays off? Should we then work on conventional holidays because we don't practice the religions that celebrate those holidays? When is it appropriate for us to go back to school/work, then?

If it all boils down to getting time off because we're too lazy to go to work/school, then I think therre should be no times off, save for Saturday and Sunday, if we can't get our beliefs straight. No one likes going to work, and no one likes going to school. But there are LOTS of things in this world no one likes to do, and if no one ever does what they don't like to do, then this world is going to be in MUCH worse shape than it already is.
