Goddess Reveals Herself in Mysterious Ways

I've been moaning and depressed lately over the desecration of my beloved park, that I didn't take the time to find ones that were left alone.

The other night, my husband and I decided that (since we had no kids for a few hours) we would go on a tour of our local area...some of the little towns we hadn't seen yet. Well, after this little tour, we went to Dairy Queen for a treat and went to my desecrated park. I realized that it wasn't as bad as I thought (though still a bit painful to see, lacking that beautiful willow), but much of the place hadn't been torn down. Sure many of the bushes, and taller trees were removed, but there are still some trees remaining and I believe the main path (complete with bushes) is still intact (I don't know, haven't been back yet, unsure if demolition is complete yet). I plan at some point to return...it just wasn't today.

No, today, the Goddess had other plans in mind for me. In me she instilled the urge to go for a walk. I didn't rush through the walk, I just leisurely walked down the main road to a local trail I had been meaning to go see. Did she do a good job here or what. This trail had a remarkable creek (bordering on river) with large fish, I was lucky enough to see jump out of the water and swim past me. It also has some minor rapids here and there. I so wish my phone wasn't about to die, or I would have taken pictures (perhaps tomorrow or the next day I will...I may even start my journey on the other end of the trail).

I wish though I could have a little more faith in the Goddess' protection. I did invoke her for protection, guidance and guard, but I still had the feeling I wasn't as safe as I would like to have been, so I didn't venture too far from the main road. Almost three years later and aweful attacks that happened in my little town run through my mind. Would I be next? I think I would feel better if I had at least one more person with me. BUT...another attempt will be made to venture on this trail, my bravery will increase and pictures will be taken :) :).

Where the Goddess is and reveals her beauty, there IS a way

(on a more humorous note: I had planned on listening to music on my walk, but moments after I had left my house, my iPod froze and hasn't unfroze yet, so I had little choice to listen to nature itself. Kinda glad I did or I wouldn't have heard the fish jump, the woodpecker pecking at dead wood or other various woodland animals).
