I can't say with 100% certainty that I know what's going to happen after we die. No one can. People can speculate, guess, even think they know for absolute certainty of what's going to happen, but in full blown truth, it's the biggest mystery in the universe.
What do I think happens when we die. I don't know. I would like to think we go to a place of rest and reflection from the life we lived. Reflect on lessons we've learned, and if we learned them right. After a time, when we've rested from such an arduous life, we can choose to come back and either 1) re-learn the lessons we didn't learn right and/or 2) learn new lessons. This can continue until you've learned everything there is to know as a human on this plane, and eventually "graduate" to another plane, go to the deities, what-have-you.
But this is just a guess, and a nice thought. There are lots of possibilities that could happen after we die. We could simply blink out of existence, with our lives meaning absolutely nothing. We could go to "heaven" or "hell". We could go to another planet and start all over again. Who knows. All we can do is guess.
I know, it's not really much of a thought, and is rather pessimistic of me. But I like to look at things from a logical standpoint...sometimes it can take away from the fun things in life, and leave the fun of a mystery, but sometimes I just need to be realistic and accept that we humans, though we like to think we know everything, we really know very, very little.
